Player Requirements & Expectations

Player Requirements & Expectations

To help keep our events fun, fair, and immersive for everyone, we ask all players to follow these standards:

Hobby & Army Standards

  • Painted Armies: All models should be painted to at least a Basic Tabletop Standard. If there are a few loose ends here and there, don't sweat it.

  • WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get): Models should accurately represent their equipment and unit type. This helps avoid confusion during games and keeps the narrative immersive.

  • Proxy Models: Proxy and unofficial models are allowed, as long as they reasonably represent the intended unit. Anything beyond that can be used only with prior approval from the event organizers. Please contact us in advance if you have a unique case or conversion you'd like to use.

  • Fully Assembled Models Only: Your models must be fully assembled, and easy to understand in order to participate.

List Submission & Gameplay

  • Lists Must Be Submitted 2 Weeks Prior to the Event: This allows us to check for balance, legality, and narrative fit, and ensures a smoother event for everyone.

  • Use the Most Current Rulebooks and FAQs: Players should bring printed or digital copies of their army rules, including any relevant FAQs or errata.

  • Bring Dice, Measuring Tools, Templates, and Objective Markers: Be self-sufficient to help keep games moving smoothly.

  • Rules Knowledge: You don’t need to be a walking rulebook, but please try to have a working knowledge of your army and the core mechanics of the game you're playing.

Conduct & Community

  • Good Sportsmanship Is Expected: These are narrative, non-competitive events. Play fair, be gracious in victory or defeat, and remember that we’re all here to have fun.

  • No cheating or excessive rules-lawyering. If a rules dispute arises, resolve it with a quick roll-off and carry on in a respectful fashion. The goal is to have fun!

  • Respect the Venue and Other Players: Clean up after yourself, be punctual for your games, and treat all attendees and staff with courtesy.
  • Report Any Issues: If you have a concern during the event, please speak to one of the organizers. We're here to help!

Thank you for playing fair and making our events enjoyable for everyone!
